Assure Women’s Center History

1985-1987

A small group of Christians feels a longing and calling to create a safe space for women considering abortion. With an initial gift of $500, AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center incorporates and opens in 1986, seeing its first patient in June of that year at 7764 Dodge Street. We receive our 501(c)3 just one year later, in 1987.

1994

Assure moves to a new location at 90 and Ohio Street and begins offering parenting classes.

2001

Assure adds ultrasound services, giving women a glimpse of their preborn baby.

2005

God blesses Assure with a beautiful building located at 65th and Sorensen Parkway.

2006

After 40 days of collective prayer and fasting, God leads Assure to a successful linear patient process. Marketing pivots to target women at-risk for abortion. The patient experience transforms so that every patient goes through the same process and receives the same information. The results are nothing short of miraculous.

2013

Assure’s impact in the community continues to grow alongside a desire to serve more women. A second location opens in West Omaha near 144th and F Street. The ministry’s name officially changes to Assure Women’s Center and we begin training other centers throughout the nation in our linear patient process.

2019

A new marketing push focuses on those women at highest risk for abortion. Additionally, Assure launches a new non-profit, the SperaVita Institute, to lead the National Training Program.

2022

Assure purchases a Mobile Pregnancy Unit.

2023

Assure remodels its 65th and Sorensen office.
