This new initiative is designed to connect women who need additional support with caring individuals from local churches who are willing to walk alongside them during pregnancy and the early weeks after birth.
The role of a Church Ambassador is simple: Pray. Encourage. Coordinate support.
Church Ambassadors commit to praying regularly for a woman throughout her pregnancy, checking in periodically, and helping organize practical support through their church. Depending on the woman’s wishes, that support may include a maternity clothing shower, baby shower and diaper collection, and Meal Train.
The goal is not to become a woman’s counselor or solve every problem. Instead, it is to help ensure she knows she is not alone. What excites us most is that this allows the Body of Christ to love women facing unplanned pregnancies in tangible ways!
